SUNSET ON AMAMI ISLAND
hey well I'm online. this is the last full week of this transfer. thank God... literally its a downhill slide from here and I'm pretty sure that i will transfer. it kinda sucks because I've grown to love this island. but honestly my companion and i don't agree on much. but whatever, i have sure learned a lot of patience by being with him. but yeah the last little while the weather has been good. today looks like rain but we will just wait and see. but yeah. komoto san. the guy with the baptismal date, yesterday he had his baptismal interview. haha yeah he didn't show up. i called him tons of times. he picked up the phone finally, but then hung up. so me and the branch president went to his house. he wouldn't open the door or talk to us. but yeah he is pretty much ignoring us really well so that sucks. but mr ono is a pimp. haha we went to his tennis tournament yesterday and watched him play. sports in japan are soo much more competitive. its crazy and he is really good. he is good at English too. which is always fun to be with another bi-lingual person. cause you can talk in half English and half Japanese its super super fun. prob my favorite thing to do. we also teach each other lots of fun words. words that most missionaries never pick up on. haha but yeah. i guess when you have a goal to come back to japan and live the `missionary vocabulary` is not good enough which is really pushing me to keep learning and learning. its way fun. but yeah he is hearing the lessons and following the commitments we extend to him which is good. he is a really cool guy. also another younger kid shige`e. he is soo cool he is the one that is the Japanese model of me.
haha he is way cool. last night we had dinner at his moms house. (we do every Sunday night) and we just sat and talked about movies and video games. he has alot of cool pics from all over japan. he has been everywhere. he is looking at buying a delorian. the car from back to the future. hahah he is way cool but yeah so that was fun. but sadly through all this fun. my comp is right next to me. but if you talk fast enough and use not so missionary vocab he cant follow it and just ends up staring at the wall. its kinda sad he has been here for 3 months longer than me but his language skills are still..... lacking... but whatever. i have taught him a lot of the common sense rules of japan that he wasn't able to pick up on. but whatever. well this has been long enough right me back quick so i can respond.
the writing on the beach says `I its the kanji for love. then a heart meaning love. then amami the kanjis for the island I'm on so if you read it in Japanese it says I love Amami. but whatever i had some time on my hands to think. haha i did another one in Okinawa but it didn't turn out as good. i will be sending another card home soon. i don't like my comp but we did tons of fun junk this transfer and I've already filled up a card.well I'm glad your all doing good. i can buy 32 gig camera cards here so an 8 gig would be useless 1 gig and 2 gig are the best. so i can fill them up and send them home if i had a big one you would never get the pics. haha but yeah. I'm glad your working on the bus. but please please please. no leather on the seats. PLEASE. don't do anything leather in it. please. well yeah I'm glad everyone says hello. i say hi back. tell Matt i don't have crotch rot. random thought, but i don't so whatever? tell candy to look up a band called Monkey Majik. the album with the cool banana on the cover. but yeah. mom might like that music too. anyways yeah i like the Bart Simpson countdown. its still wrong on this comp. this comp prob just doesn't update stuff like that but whatever if its right on your comp it will be good. yeah I'm looking forward to the stuff you sent maybe i will get it today. tell everyone i love them and dream about being home without a weird guy that is called a companion. well if you have anything else write back quick. love you all
the spider bite went away but i have a cool scar on my hand i hope it doesn't fade too fast cause its cool.
